Middle and Senior high school students together with senior citizens, dialogue and deliberate about community issues that impact both generations. The program will foster non-violent communication techniques and build leadership skills that allow participants in diverse groups to learn from the differences and draw on the strengths that unite them. Each group will also have an opportunity to design a service project that addresses a community concern.

"Oaks & Acorns is a great program. It provides a connection between generations, great for the kids and adults. It has also provided me with a lot of experience it feels good working to help people get to know others they might have never met without the program."
